HOW I CAN HELP AS A NATUROPATH:

  • BOTANICAL MEDICINE

Botanical medicine incorporates the healing properties of plants. Plants and herbs are known to treat a wide variety of health concerns because of their individualized medicinal properties. Naturopaths choose herbs based upon patient presentation. This could include properties such as nourishing, strengthening, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial etc. Furthermore, I am trained to understand the pharmaceutical properties of plants and to screen for herb-drug interactions. The prescription of herbal medicine may be based on scientific research or traditional use.

  • CLINICAL NUTRITION

There are many approaches to a healthy diet, and I believe that any dietary recommendations should be tailored to the individual. I have a strong belief in “food as medicine” and make sure to incorporate it into every treatment plan. My goal is to help you identify any nutrient rich foods that support your healing, and address any foods may be affecting you adversely. In some cases, nutritional supplementation may be recommended as a way of correcting any underlying imbalances or used to strengthen any weakened systems.

  • LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION

The foundation for good health is your lifestyle. Because of this we will take some time to discuss any lifestyle factors that are contributing to your health concerns such as stress, exercise, habits, and sleep. The goal is to guide you in making health promoting lifestyle choices, that will eventually aid in establishing your long term health.
